Should've just downloaded that stuff. The movie and music industries need a huge danza slap round the chops, so if boycotting paying for a ticket is the way, I wholeheartedly support it.

That's coming from someone who either wants to go into the movie or music industry too.

Los Abrazos Rotos

Almodovar turns is in autopilot here, but in the best possible way. Cruz is on stunning form, and Homar impresses as well, carrying the blindness of his character later in the timeline very well. For my money, better than Volver.

4/5

Also, cinema and CDs >>>>> shitty torrents.

It's got an 81 average at Metacritic. Thanks to film critics' sensible scoring, lack of fear of negative reviews and less homogeneity in opinion in that community in genreal, that's a fucking phenomenal score. Something like three quarters of games get at least 65.

The blu-ray features a mediocre transfer sadly. But it is still a good film.

Just watched World Trade Centre

It was, okay. A surprisingly good performance from Nic Cage, but Stone ruins any emotional depth by placing visions of a "jesus" in the middle of the film, which just led to a loud WTF from me and my mum. And the marines... "We're gonna need to go get revenge for this..." urgh. It was awful, tacked on, morality bullshit to what would otherwise be a decent enough, quite disturbing film.

Maggie Gyllenhal was quite astonishing though..she is such a fine actress.

It was nice to see a less attractive love interest in The Dark Knight, especially as it was such a huge film. Although I guess when the protagonist is millionaire playboy that having a flawless cookie cutter hottie would seem realistic for a change.

Am I the only one who'd prefer more realistic actors. I don't need to look at handsome/beautiful people when I'm watching a film, that's what porn is for. I mean fucking hell. And they always put pointless sex scenes in films to keep the retards happy that add nothing to the plot. Look at Enemy at the Gates for fucks sake. A sniper in Stalingrad. I can dig that. Wait, who's this smoking hot female sniper? Oh man, are they fucking in the middle of a warzone? Is he going to wipe his knob on a krout's body afterwards? Fuck you, Hollywood, stop patronizing me.

Im with you Sean 100%, fair enough have a love interest, but you dont need to show sex to show their in love, or to try and show emotion.

Though, i really like Enemy At The Gates, but for the record, that isnt a Hollywood film, its a european flick, (British?), the most expensive euro film ever...Which, makes it all the more sickening to that that in it Sad

Also, its not like Gyllenhaal is ugly, i think she's quite pretty...have you seen Secretary? Thats a sexy film.

I think she's pretty, personal opinion and what not. How some dudes fancy that girl out of that band. And how Weeble thinks Megan Fox looks like that picture of a cat he found.

You wouldnt say no.

And yeah dude, "Secretary", google it! Its amazing.

Went to District 9 tonight. Because we are discussing it in the film club at a later date, I won't go into detail. But what I will say, is that it has rekindled my love of the sci-fi genre. The best since the likes of 'Aliens'? Absolutely fantastic stuff. Can't wait to hear other opinions and discuss it properly!
