Re: Red Dead Redemption
Is that an actual 10 suede? Cos I recall your impressions of Splinter Cell, SSF IV and possibly Alan Wake being somewhat similar...I'm still getting this tomorrow, special ed. Paaaaaydaaaaay! Can't wait really. Got the X360 issue, which really didn't explain why it got a 9 instead of a 10 very well, apart from some minor control issues?

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Ha ha, no genuinely this time I really feel like giving a 10. It's not perfect, but I just got the lasso and Duster coat and it's just what I wanted from this game, to ride around with a Duster coat on, tie up bounties and bring them back to the Sheriff on my horse.
The controls are kinda difficult to grasp, kinda all over the place for some things, to be honest, nothing game breaking though. There are some bugs, and it sometimes it can be kinda dull; like GTAIV was at times. If it isn't a 10 by the end of the game it's most definitely a 9.
I was riding to a mission and I came across some bandits who just killed some people on a carriage, and there was one guy (I think was deputy or one of the people who survived) telling me to go after the two guys, so I tied them up - I could have killed them if I wanted to - and brought them both back to him, and what does he do? He executes them on the spot HAHA! He then just limps away.
Amazing.

I crossed over into Mexico earlier... wow! The music that starts playing when you first arrive and the scenery is just awesome. It's seriously good now, and I also got the poncho outfit.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Doing jobs and chores at my farm now, interested to see where the story goes from here.
Re: Red Dead Redemption
Also, I hope they keep the aiming system in all their future sandbox games, it works well, loads better that GTA4.
Re: Red Dead Redemption
Mexico looks incredible. Get up to the top of the cliffs to the south and look to the North. It's the best moment i've had so far.
Also, anyone else rocking the Bandana (found in Thieves Landing) to commit bank Robbery's and the like?
