Most anticipated game of the year, and dare i say it, i think it will be the highest rated.

got mine on pre-order at game, very excited.

I'm gonna give it a 7.

Are we doing the whole "hate a probably brilliant rockstar game early on so you can be proved right because it becomes repetitive in a few weeks" thing?

Nah, I'm just not trying to overhype myself. It's very rare that a western video game comes our way, especially one made by a company like Rockstar, so I'm just keeping myself calm.

I wonder when I'll have time to play this... going to the states soon and then starting work...

I can't wait for this. And Dangly, I love all the GTA games apart from GTA IV. I wasn't trying to be different by saying I hated it, I just genuinely didn't like it at all. I have high hopes that this will flip my opinion entirely!

And Jamie i really wasnt like, having a dig or anything at all, i was just aware that loadsa people had issues with it (not particularly any member of our beloved community) because of the repetitive nature of some of the missions. Im thinking this might have some of that too, but i really didnt have a problem with it in GTAIV, probably because i messed about a hell of a lot between missions, and i dont think i will with this.

I've always said that GTA IV is an excellent game if you ignore the previous games in the series, since it deviated from their styles.

With Redemption, there's nothing apart from Revolver before it - which is a totally different concept altogether - for it to live up to. Which is why I don't think this will be a let down one bit.

gta 4 was average at best, i too have high hopes for this.

I'm kind of with Suede trying to think about this as little as possible so I don't overhype myself and so that the 21st gets here quicker.

See this concerns me. I cant help but feel if you thought of GTAIV as "average at best" what makes you think this will be better? I think the analogy "GTA with Horses" is perhaps a little unfair but from what i've seen, surprisingly accurate.

Why do i suddenly need to explain every opinion i have? i just didnt like GTA 4, i felt it was really dull compared to san andreas, which i really enjoyed, and red dead redemption looks like it could be really fun to play with your mates, especially free mode and the upgradeable characters and co-op missions, while GTA 4 online grew old in 5 minutes and was a bit pointless.

im sorry, im just a little heated up, yeah, i didnt mean that, but still, just because i didnt like GTA 4 doesnt mean i wont like this, there's plenty that appelas to me, hunting looks awsome and western games dont come around that often, i wouldnt just label it GTA with horses untill we have actually played it. just sayin

I am indeed. What I didn't like about GTAIV is that it seemed like I'd already played the game. I'm a big fan of westerns, love the idea of having a posse and it just sounds amazing. Total change from GTA even if it does still use the same sandbox type game play.

Man, this is out soon. Gonna grab myself a copy and save it till my exams are over. INCENTIVES!

Worked with GTA IV though, and I ended up spending almost seventy hours with that game if you include the DLC.

you say that about everything suede, cant really decide whether thats a good thing or a sign you have little faith in game developers.
