Re: Now Playing...
Dwarf rouge commoner was a good choice. The stand out bit for me was going back to the city and giving all the noble's abuse. I led a very sad, twisted life to find that entertaining.

I tried to get back in as soon as I could but the bounty hunters on the path to the gate are too strong for me atm. Gutted.

Re: Now Playing...
just get a higher strength level and use intimidate, but personally i would leave the dwarf quest till last, as it the most boring of the lot in my opinion.

Probably more into space and lasers than beards and longswords
I hate fantasy films along the lines of LoTR but love game stuff like Dragon Age and Oblivion. Dunno why.

I think it's just because you create your own adventure, kind of. More so in Dragon Age.
LoTR, for me, is like watching someone play Oblivion. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Re: Now Playing...
Got Dragon Age for Christmas and I really want to play it but it's a bad time to start something like that. Pre-Lims and Mass Effect 2 soon and they take priority.
Re: Now Playing...
The thing is, I really want to like 'all that fantasy shit'. I do like the LOTR series, and I love the idea of all these mental creatures running around while you wield an oversized axe and cast magic spells. I just don't like it when I play it. At all. I didn't like Oblivion either. I would rather blow shit up with a rocket launcher than cut stuff up with a sword.
I also didn't get the combat in Dragon Age, and tapping X repeatedly to kill something in Oblivion doesn't appeal to me the way choosing your weapon and aiming down the scope does in Fallout or Mass Effect. They're clearly great games and all, I just really can't stand them. I'm missing out, I feel.

I still think Oblivion is better just due to the fact you can go anywhere on the map not just set locations.

Re: Now Playing...
i like the combat in dragon age, it feels more realistic, although i have to say some weapons could swing a little faster, but really, thats probably what fighting was like back in 1100's or whenever. i find it funny how people think you should be able to swing a huge sword around like its nothing despite their massive weight.

Re: Now Playing...
I think Dragon Age is amazing, apart from a couple of bosses.

Ehhhm no not really. I play a fair bit of UFC, and I'm constantly getting new games to keep things fresh so I'm getting by!
The combat in Dragon Age is basically, aim in the direction of an enemy and click A. Your character will do the rest. You can also get the rest of your 'team' to attack in different ways. I dunno, it really didn't grab me.

Re: Now Playing...
What?
It's essentially the combat system from KOTOR where you pause and give commands to your allies, while maintaining direct control over a single character. You can setup elaborate tactics in between battles, like having your mage heal you if your health dips between 10 percent or having a warrior intercept anyone targeting the mage. You can directly control your actions by mapping shortcuts to your action bar giving you up to 6 abilities you can activate in real time whilst the other are available if your pause the game.

Re: Now Playing...
I've just been watching my housemate play Assassin's Creed 2.
Both me and a friend both get intensely frustrated when watching other people play games we have and so we spent a good time just trying to hide the anger and desire to just slap him, yell 'NO' and wrestle the controller away and do it ourselves. Though I think the tone of our voices betrayed us.
Yet I don't get annoyed when someone is playing a game that I haven't, it's just for the ones I have, mainly because different play styles or play styles I deem to be inferior to mine that just annoy me.
