Re: Now Playing...
Here we are.
It's nothing major and apart from the stretch, it does look very nice.

CoJ: BiB isn't as interesting, I'll admit, but it still has its fair share of moments. By the way, how awesome wasn't the level with Bily climbing the mountain etc?
Wasn't or was? I thought it was great, hunting the rabbits was amazing fun and climbing the mountain was an endurance test for you as well as Billy - the eagle pissed me off so much that I took all of its feathers! The environment on that stage was enormous and it rendered all of that without breaking a sweat, I wish they'd gone for an open world instead of the other way for the sequel because the systems they had in place seemed much more versatile than a linear game would allow for.
You're definitely right that it's greater than the sum of its parts, though. I think I picked it up on your recommendation from a long time ago, so thanks
As in that level is one of the coolest western levels ever. Loved riding around in it, they definitely should have considered more open ended stuff in CoJ:BiB. But if the demo is the first level, you should know that the rest of the game is a lot better. There's even a couple of open ended levels like that one with three side quests each for you to explore.

Ah, might get it sooner after all. Your recommendations seem to have been solid of late, with Call of Juarez and Mass Effect.
I started Stranglehold properly today after installing it to C:\ and moving My Documents back to default so it actually saves the game. Hoping to blaze through it by tomorrow night.

Re: Now Playing...
breaking the dam in BiB really surprised me. I thought it would be a cutscene, and while it wasn't the MOST impressive thing I've seen in a game, it was pretty awesome.

What is the MOST impressive thing you've seen in a videogame? :O

Already on to 5/7 levels on Stranglehold and I've only been playing it on and off for a few hours. Maybe I'll try to finish it before I get Batman.

Re: Now Playing...
Yeah, I've heard some unexpectedly good things about that game
Stranglehold's Kowloon level had me all nostalgic with memories of Shenmue II. It's identical!
Damn, this game is so badly optimised for PC. Every level has seen a framerate drop for some reason, my machine should be devouring it. Oh, it's just if you don't restart the engine each time. This was probably more hassle than it was worth, but in the end I had a decent enough time. Finishing a game in one sitting isn't something I'd usually do, so that was interesting. The ending is hilarious, his daughter hugging him after he's killed literally almost a thousand people.

Re: Now Playing...
Just returnded to COD 4 in a last ditch effort to reach gold cross 55 before MW2. To no avail. I just got pissed off with how shitty I've become at the game.

Re: Now Playing...
Attempted to play Red Dead Revolver. Unfortunately the backwards compatibility is a bit shit and it freezes on one of the bosses. So I can't go any further unless I get the original Xbox out and play it on that. It's a shame, I was really enjoying it.

Re: Now Playing...
Sounds like a decent deal, Bomby.
On another note, just picked up a cheap copy of Mass Effect. I felt like I didnt give it much of a chance last time, so I'm having another go.
