Fraser will be happy. I love 'Am I Wry? No.' Did you see them supporting NIN by any chance Mindkiller?

Everyone seems to be getting into Mew now
What a fucking great band. Hope I did the right thing with an Amazon pre-order of No More Stories.

They do seem to be getting a lot of recognition now within the underground rock scene don't they?

Re: Now Playing
Pitchfork is by far the best music outlet on the internet. And they don't hate everything successful (look at their top 500 songs of the decade), they just have really good taste.
For the record: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/9285-and-the-glass-handed-kites/ Pitchfork have known about, and liked Mew for a long time

Re: Now Playing
That's what I meant though, I'm aware they loved Mew and this'll be the album they dump on because they seem to be gathering steam. They're almost too predictable. Their lists of good shit are often great, and I'm aware I can be slightly hypocritical when it comes to this vs. my games snobbery, but they can be incredibly irritating at times. Marking albums out of one hundred is a big contributing factor to that.

Re: Now Playing
Yeah but I don't know why you'd think that. I check the site every day and they give a decent amount of popular/mainstream stuff good reviews. Of course if something really popular is not that good they will be much harsher than the likes of NME & Q, but they really aren't half as bad as people try to make out. I could do without the marks out of 100 too, but at least 5.x & 6.x scores from PF don't necessarily mean an album is awful, unlike most places.
OT: Phoenix - Wolfgang Amedeus Pheonix - brilliant album.

They gave The Fragile a 2/10, therefore I lost instant faith. They often have some cracking lists though.

Listening to Arcade Fire's "Funeral" right through now. Probably my favourite album of all time

Oh, awesome, a few days after I get into The Horrors and Trent Reznor has premiered their new video over at the NIN website The video itself is just okay, however Mirror's Image is one of my favourite tracks off Primary Colours.

Mew - Hawaii Dreams
This album fucking kicks ass. Probably not as good as And the Glass Handed Kites, but certainly better than Frengers. Musically it's almost a halfway point between the two, much less esoteric than the former, but not nearly as pop as the latter.

Muse - The Resistance (30 second previews)
Fuck me I'm hyped. Pissing myself in anticipation. Barely two weeks to go! FFFFFUUUUUCK YES!
Seriously I've been waiting for this album for more than two years, feeding on scraps of info.

Leeeeeet's start / Oooooovur / Aaaaaggheeeeen
Only potential shit one is Guiding Light, that'll be this album's Invincible/Falling Away With You/Screenager/Unintended. They're all in the same fucking place as well. The sample sounds like Muse doing Glasvegas doing Queen doing Glasvegas.
