fable 2 was brilliant, and we dont know anything about vegas yet, and its being made by the guys who worked on the original, so i have high hopes for it.

Final Fantasy XIII looks the best to be honest. Mass Effect 2 is looking pretty awesome too though. I liked Fable 2. I loved the world, the charm and the sense of adventure but if the combat had been tweaked it would have been so much better. The combat was just so boring and repetitive. I really hope they give it a complete overhaul for Fable 3.

When's Mass Effect 2 out?

Anyone else interested in Risen, the new game from the guys behind the original Gothic? It looks so very Oblivion, but I loves me some Oblivion.
Dragon Age could also be decent, but I doubt it'll be as well received as Baldur's Gate.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
Interested in all 3, Mass Effect, Fable and Fallout. And I previously managed to convince myself that I'm not into RPGs?
I couldn't really choose a favorite at the minute. I know nothing of Fable 3, but I did love the second. I know nothing of New Vegas, but I loved Fallout 3. Mass Effect 2 looks incredible, and I am really into the original at the moment.
Anybody have an idea for the release dates on all 3 of these games?
Oh and gdf, I saw a brief paragraph about Risen somewhere. But I didn't like Oblivion at all...

Risen will either be a big hit or huge miss. I'm keeping my eye on it nonetheless.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
i dont think there are really any solid release dates so far, mass effect is probably feb, fallout is meant to be released in the summer, but i expect that to be delayed till xmas, and fable 3 will be out around that time as well.

They're bullshitting, it's been in full development for over a year now plus some stuff during Fallout 3.
I call two years, they're probably building a new engine.

I'll end up buying it none the less, but I can certainly wait another 2 years for it.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
I can't. To think I could have completed half of my university course and spent a year abroad by the time I get to play the next Elder Scrolls makes me want to just drop out and get cryogenically frozen.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
Wouldn't mind being frozen until November 10th tbh.
I didn't see the big deal with Oblivion at all. I found it really really boring?

Some idiots did, oh yes.
Nah, I bummed it and played 100 hours, some people just don't click with it.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
its not bad, i just prefer guns to swords. and i find the empty feilds more dull than the empty wasteland, whcih is strange

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
Empty field? WTF? There are lush forests wherever one looks, valleys and mountains, lakes and rivers. Interesting mini dungeons and plants a plenty to pick. What has Fallout got in comparison? Bumpy desert terrain?

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
yes you have feild, mountains, forests lakes etc, but what are they really to the game? they may as well be empty feilds, they offer nothing except to look at for a few seconds as your ride your horse into the ass of nowhere.
and fallout has plenty of buildings to explore, there are weapons, armour etc everywhere. there is no difference to the sceneray apart from the colour and an object but it all does the same job.

Re: Fable 3...and those other RPG's
There is a shitload of stuff to find in Oblivion. And Fallout's buildings are even more monotonous than Oblivion's temples which at least always offer something really exciting to find.
Fallout is nothing but a grey version of Oblivion that is less fun to explore with no variation to be found around the world map. You can't ride a horse either!
