Re: Gigs
Kasabain
Made friends with a sweaty bald man for the second time in a row at a gig.
They announced involvement at T next year.
Three of my mates who went the day before to Aberdeen to see 'em and declared that they'd have a well better time have been stuck in the city for two days now thanks to their own incompetence.
Kasbian loves Glasgow better anyway, they said so themselves.
I had a nice time.

Re: Gigs
Didn't spell Kasabian correctly once up there. Anywho,
Arctic Monkeys
Turns out what I've been told is right, their new stuff is a bit shit. Dunno about this gig, when they played something everyone had heard of shit kicked off in a big way but apart from that it was a bit subdued. Plus, it was stopped three time 'cause Alex kept getting hit with trainers.
"Well you lot haven't changed a bit."

Re: Gigs
The new album is probably the best thing they've done on record. They're just a pretty dull live band tbh, no stage presence or banter, and it stands out more with their newer tracks which aren't all about being as loud as possible.
The crowds they draw are the worst kind too, the kind that stand about moaning until they play a song Radio 1 played a lot

Well I can't argue with that last bit, being exactly the type of fan you mention .

Re: Gigs
AM new album is steadily turning into my favourite of what they've done so far, bar a few tracks from old abums, Certain Romance, 505 and The Only Ones who Know...im looking at you...
But yeah, with their evolved sound, they have definitely lost a bit of the twinkle in the eye and cheeky stage appearance which made them so endearing in the first place. BUT, i dont really think we need anothe Alex Turner circa 2005 style artist in the AM anymore.

Went to see Electric Six last night on a spirit of the moment thing. Managed to get right to the front, it was pretty good.

Re: Gigs
I don't know squat about the music biz, so a few months ago when my mates were all buying tickets to Stereophonics in March I went along with it, 'cause they're a popular band and I assumed they were pretty kickass, despite only being able to name Dakota amongst their back catalogue. Today I was reminded of all their best songs. I'm excited now.

I think they're a bit underrated, im not a particular fan, but they have some quality stuff, and i think they look cool.

Re: Gigs
Saw Manson at the Manchester Academy last night. Put on a good show, much recovered from his shoddy performances earlier this year.

Praising Joesph Fritzel, the art of smashing hymen and some rather cool dancing took place. One of the smallest gigs Ive been to, but it was awesome.
