Skindred - Shark Bites and Dog Fights
What another awesome here by the Reggea-Metal Welshman including a simply awesome cover of Electric Avenue.
Really cannot wait to see these guys live

They did it with Muscle Museum at the 2000 Radio One Big Day Out. It's on the cover of the US Radio Edit single. Matt persuaded them to let him sing live and took the piss whilst Dom and Chris swapped.

Fuck, I've been meaning to get fun's album for quite a while now but haven't had the money. Given that I've been a huge fan of the format for about 4 years now, I want to listen to it after paying for it for once. Is it similar at all?

Re: Now Playing
The Resistance is my second favourite Muse album after some breaking in time.
Origin (9/10) > The Resistance (9/10) > Absolution (9/10) > Showbiz (8/10) > Black Holes (7/10)
Marilyn Manson - The High End of Low
Something of a return to form for Manson after the letdown that was Eat Me, Drink Me. Four Rusted Horses is insanely foot-tappingly brilliant, WOW is very NIN, Arma-god-damn-mother-fuckin-geddon is catchy enough, and Running to the Edge of the World is just about the most ballady thing the band has ever done. Twiggy's return has influenced the album a lot and it clearly shows, however there are some slip-ups, notably the 8-minute slog that is I Want to Kill You Like They Do In the Movies, which starts off decent, then you realise it doesn't actually have any direction whatsoever. The album also becomes repetitive towards the end, and could probably benefit from a few less tracks. Regardless, easily the best Manson album since Holy Wood.

Re: Now Playing
It could have done without the blatantly obvious "I'm still trying to do shock rock with political satire" tracks like We're From America and Pretty as a Swastika. We're not in the late 90's anymore, now it just looks tired and repetitive.
I'll agree on WOW and Running as probably the best songs on it, simply because they're the only ones I'm really still listening to, along with Devour and 15. Everything else I either hated for sounding like he was trying to recapture the Antichrist days and the rest were just bland and went in one ear and out the other.
Still better than Eat Me, Drink Me.

I agree. Pretty as a Swastika and We're From America are two of the tracks I was referring to when I said it could've cut down. I really like Four Rusted Horses though, for me probably the standout track.

Re: Now Playing
I really can't listen to any post-Mechanical Animals Manson stuff.
Anyway, I've been listening to Portishead a lot lately, in particular "Dummy"
I've also been listening to a little bit of Muse lately, but not Resistance. Too much of a "Knights of Cydonia" sound to it

Re: Now Playing
How can you find it vaguely interesting posting in a thread that you don't even like?
Re: Now Playing
I know. Shit better get upgrades though. Smooth the edges, run it in 60FPS and tweak the controls and I'd easily pay £30 for downloadable Shenmue.

Re: Now Playing
hey. sean. don't think i can't see what you're doing in here. get back to the village with that talk.
To get the topic back on music but also to interest sean, here's a video from Real Chance of Love in which a group of attention whores who just want to be on TV are challenged by their prospective dates to write and sing a song called "Animals Are Awesome!" Get ready to fall in love with animals all over again.
