I have no worries about this. It's not like Pixar are in a rough spot and need to whore out established franchises, every film they make tuns to gold. They wouldn't green light a Toy Story sequel unless they were 100% sure it would be great.

Yes they would. Toy Story, regardless of quality will sell like a motherfucker as long as the CGI in the trailer looks up to scratch. Not to say I think they aren't putting effort into it.

I have every confidence in Pixar, they hav never yet made a film i didnt at least enjoy. TS3 looks marvellous already, a stellar voice cast (Timothy Fucking Dalton's in it!) and actual matre themes, the idea of growing up, and being left behind is personally what i think Pixar do best. And Toy Story MADE Pixar! There is no way Lasseter and co would let this be produced, produced to this stage without ensuring it is of the highest quality. Did you know they rescripted Toy Story 2 after it had been in development for 6 months, because they thought it was going to be shit?

Yeh thats whats im saying. Even the weaker stuff they do like Cars still rake in around half a billion dollars, there's no reason why they'd ruin their 'baby' by putting out a poor sequel solely for money.

Pixar didn't want Toy Story 3, or Toy Story 2 for that matter. Disney asked them to do it, Pixar didn't want to so Disney were going to make it themselves but Pixar didn't want Disney to do so they ended up making it.

They activey wanted to do Toy Story 3. Its just they didnt want to do it so soon, Disney wanted to make it almost immediately, but Pixar want to wait.

Also, correct timeline, like, 10 years after the original means that Andy has actually grown up the same amount as we have. Nice continuity that.

I think I'm going to watch the originals. Haven't seem them since they came out at the cinema.
