Just finished Borderlands. Really good fun shooter, and the RPG elements make it ridiculously addictive. Co-op is the best way to play it, but single player is still great.

Nothing really wrong with it at all. I guess it just didnt really excel the way an 8, 9 or 10 should...

I mean for me so far this year, Arkham Asylum has been the GOTY, but its still an 8, admittedly pushing a 9...

nope.

after a further session of the game i feel i have beat the learning curve, i still find it generally confusing, something like fable did with the gold trail would have been a massive help, while the voice acting is nothing special it gets slightly better as the story progresses. this means i would bumb it up to 5/10, but due to the fact the main character did a funny dance, it gets a 6 for now.

You don't really know what bad voice acting is until you've experienced the torture that is Star Ocean 4.

Been playing Valkyria Chronicles recently and loving it. I have to say that the voice acting is better than most JRPGs. Battle system is really good and the book mode works well. Graphically it's beautiful too.

I also played Borderlands at a mates and I agree with Jamie I think. It's very fun but it defintely lacking something. The world is really empty and bring but the mechanics and RPG elements are very solid. I also loks really dull. I thought the graphics looked really good and the style was brilliant in the trailers and stuff but it looks really dull in the game.

Dead Space is fucking scary! But so, so awesome.

ill be picking up modern warfare 2 and dragon age next week, so i may buy dead space in december.

As I am now a GAME employee, I am considering picking up DJ Hero. I am definitely getting Dragon Age and MW2 next week though, but I'm finished Borderlands and I'll get a decent trade in value on that.

Dead Space terrified me throughout most of it, although the scares do start to repeat themselves like a bad joke. Still a brilliant game, mind, and one that you could pick up dirt cheap at this stage.

I love the fact that I have all games already paid for until 2010. Gotta love Gamestop's 2 for 1 trade in deal. Bought Alone in the Dark and another shit game off Play.com for £13 total and traded them in for Modern Warfare 2. Jackpot! Also bought Resistance in the same store used (£10) and traded it back in last week alongside Heavenly Sword for Tekken 6. Games are so cheap these days lol.

No no, it's a pre-order deal. If you trade in 2 games before release you get it free on the day it comes out. I've still got to wait like the rest of you mortals
