WET
I've been looking forward to this for a while and I thought the demo was really fun. Gameplay was pretty good even if it will have next to no replay value. Anyone else played it?
Re: WET
Whats it like then guyyyys?
I only half know, and half care what this is anyways, published by Bethesda? Brother thinks it looks great

Re: WET
Its pretty good, fun, over the top fun, but could have done with some improvements in some places, such as the cars could have done with a bit more physics, when I shoot the tires I want the cars to flip, I feel that bit was far too scripted.

That bit was really scripted, it looked so damn cool though. I think I'm gonna keep my pre-order

That's a very specific complaint
Away to download, hoping it'll be enjoyable enough.

Re: WET
Just played through the demo and could barely be bothered. Don't like it much.
Actually I actively dislike it.
My biggest gripe is the lack of fluidity in every action the insufferably named "Rubi" ("Ruby" is far more suitable, no?) makes. It feels terribly static, and this is emphasised by some minor but bizarre oversights. Why have to push X to climb from a ledge when I'm already holding forward and getting shot to shit from below? Why do I need to pump square to bust open doors? What's with having to shoot to stay in slow motion? Jumping transitions so badly into diving, though being able to shoot two enemies simultaneously is well managed.
The platforming section was shite and uneccesary, and the quicktime event car chase felt like the poor man's Pursuit Force. The way the camera lurched about made it almost impossible to hit enemies unless in the air (which is the total opposite of what it should be) and being completely on-rails/unable to move whilst on top of vehicles was just silly.
The "grindhouse" vibe wasn't genuine, it was "let's do a poor game doing Tarantino doing grindhouse". Very safe and uninspired in the end. Film stuff was cool, but the game never looked stylish enough to pull it off, and the lack of any way to interact with the environment besides running up walls and swinging from fucking poles seemed like a huge wasted opportunity. Where's the spontaneity?
Bad stuff. Makes Stranglehold seem like the greatest fucking game of all time.

Re: WET
The QTE was pretty shit. I thought the slow-mo and sword shit was good fun. Not a pretty game though, and the way she controlled was a bit rubbish.

Re: WET
Yeah, so like Stranglehold, but not as fluid, fun or pretty. Huh.
