V for Vendetta was okay I guess. 3/5 leaning towards a 4 like the film. Found the artwork irritating.

It's a big ol' bastard but when I got near the end I wished it'd go on for another 500 pages.

if you have a local comic shop / ebay account... pick up Haunt, it's from Robert Kirkman (writer of invincible) and Todd Macfarrlen (i.e. creator of spawn) fucking brutal and very, very nice!

If you guys are buying trade paperbacks however, get killing joke (despite what Seany says, it's pretty good) and long Halloween (which is awesome). Also check out The Boys, very funny and gritty!

Killing Joke was way too short and uneventful. It was interesting and entertaining but on a 3/5 level.

it was just fucked up tbh, kinda enjoyed it as that's what I'd imagine joker to be like, the guys mental, if he wants to shoot someone in the stomach and make the chief of police be physiologically tortured by circus freaks, he bloody well will!

The whole part up to the ending felt like it should be the first act to a three act story. It was just too short, it felt like things were warming up and I was enjoying the ride but the disappointment in its length and ending soured the previous enjoyment.

I'm actually enjoying The Dark Night. This is an unexpected turn of events. Will have to get some more Frank Miller Batman comics.

Finished From Hell. Wasn't as dramatically satisfying as I had hoped, but it was still pretty fucking sweet. I guess if I'd known more about Jack the Ripper on beforehand I might have enjoyed it even more. Glorious artwork and many stunning sequences. A bit confusing at times, but on the whole it's recommended.

So, what did you think of the dream sequence? I loved it and it seems like something that wouldn't translate to film, all the time travelling stuff is very Moore, surprised there wasn't a giant squid monster to be seen lol

Got Kick Ass and Walking Dead vol 2 today. Ordered some Garfield for research purposes and Garfield Minus Garfield to counterbalance the humour deficit.
