Another excellent season. both 5/5 for me but I think season 1 might have been slightly better, or are they equal? Can't decide!
Re: Mad Men
Argh. I'm soo close to buying season 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray for £40... might download an episode or two to see if I like it first.

Watched the first episode and boy did it seem interesting! Shame I'm currently broke so I can't afford to buy the series at the moment.

The hotel room was expensive, okay? My salary has been delayed because of the accountants being on holiday, but I'll be back on track the 25th when I will be receiving two months worth of pay!

Finally got hold of this. Season 1 and 2 on blu-ray! Watched the first four episodes and I most admit I'm entranced! The show might not be terribly subtle in conveying the characters emotion, but compared to most stuff on TV it's sublime. And with beautifully grainy 1080p picture and a crystal clear DTS HD Master audio mix it's all the more delightful to watch. Can't wait to plough through the rest of the two seasons during the next few weeks.

Re: Mad Men
Bump.
I have watched the first 8 episodes of this so far and I am enjoying it. It is interesting from a stylistic perspective, but I agree that it isn't particularly subtle in how it chooses to portray its themes and subject matters.
An 8 year old could easily understand the message that is being delivered.
It's a good series, but I don't see the point in watching beyond the first season. I'm just not that interested in the stories of indulgence that these characters have to tell.

tbh I got like that after the second season... I've heard the third season mixes it up abit but I havn't bothered to delve into this theory.
