Dante's Inferno

So EA has announced the European release date for Dante's Inferno to be February 5th. I have to say I'm pretty excited about this one. Such a wild and original concept, I have extremely high hopes for this to be capable of competing with the top end games of 2010. It's from the same guys who brought us Dead Space, and I'm hoping they can transition that unbelievable atmosphere into an entirely different game. It should be awesome.

Looks interesting. Hope it's as good as it could be, it's certainly a great concept for a game, going through the different layers of hell and whatnot.

Looks great, can't wait to play it. Though I doubt it will be as good as Bayonetta and God of War III.

I've been following it all year and it looks like the dumbest piece of fucking shit ever. Cancer of the highest order.

That said, it can't be as big a load of bullshit as their next public domain works travesty. Read Ripper's press release to see what I'm on about.

My brother's getting a slim for christmas so I'll try the demo then (as well as the GoW3 demo)

The demo is good. It has some nice ideas and it's really fun but it is exactly the same as God of War. I knew there would be similarities but it's nearly identical. Same controls, hud looks very similar and it plays nearly identical.

It is good but I'm not sure if I'll get it on release now.

I played this demo, then played the GoW3 demo right after. It's not bad, it just does everything GoW does, does it worse...and nothing else.

im persoanlly looking forward to bayonetta over this, still the full game could be interesting.

Bayonetta could well be my GOTY 2010. Its too awesome. The demo has ruined DMC for me now.

havent played the demo yet since iv been liveless for a bit, so i take it everything in it is much better than DMC 4? or does it have a bug or 2?

No bugs that I know of. There is a bit of a learning curve as it plays like a weird bastard child of Ninja Gaiden and DMC

If you dl the demo you should start off in the 2nd stage. 1st stage of the demo doesn't exactly leave a great impression

Its much better than DMC4. It has a huge combo list

very nice, hopefully DMC 5 will be good, get rid of the angry emo kid nero, speed the game up, make the weapons usefull, more enemies on screen and more combo's, and no more repeating levels for half the game

still, yeah im going to get both, ninja blade was a big disapointment for me and i need a decent action game.

I actually enjoyed playing as Nero. I would have prefered if Capcom just made it Nero's game instead of doing the whole backtracking thing with Dante
Dante was stupidly overpowered in that game as well. Nero's arm-grabby thingy was cheap, but Dante was like a tank.
The whole point in the style system of DMC3 was that no two 'Dantes' would be the same. Changing through 6 weapons on the fly was annoying too.

Nero was like the other extreme. Way too simplified, yet oddly fun to play as.

They need to make another prequel explaining why Vergil went evil in the first place. Or a Sparda game

Still undecided on this. However, anyone taken the Dante's Inferno test, predicting which layer of Hell you'll end up residing in?

got mine on pre-order, tried the demo and its good fun, cutscenes look amazing.

I liked the demo of this; like the look of it but it's just too much like God of War to me. Gonna have to wait until it's a little cheaper.

Apart from Metacritic is a ballsache and the 'bigger' sites are ranked. It'll end up in the eighties somewhere.

It's only get these decent scores because of the boobies.

75/100 on Metacritic today. Around what I expected to be honest, not bad.

As for the boobies, they seemed the main source of criticism in the Eurogamer review!

Decidedly 'meh' reviews then...Thought it might be. I'll get Bioshock first. then possibly pick this up when I finish. I have Army of Two: TFD to trade in too. What a piece of shit.
