God of War 1+2 BluRay re-release

Just found out about this

I never got round to playing GoW2 and the lack of backwards compatibility on PS3 didn't help my inclination to buy it so this seems handy. Also, I'll play the original again for old times sake and to see how many of the trophies I can get with my rusty button mashing skills and experience it in 720p.

I'd say this is a good thing, what say you?

$40 for both seems pretty good, GOW still costs about a tenner each to buy pre-owned from what i've seen. Its a good deal, i may even play them this time round.

That is because it isn't coming out until feb-march next year.

Supposed to be coming out in time for Xmas.

tbh though, GOW is probably one of the PS2 releases that could benefit the least out of this HD upgrade. It still looks incredible through emulation on PS3.

If they perhaps gave SotC the same treatment, mebbe they could fix the skippy framerate problems that game had

Some of us don't have PS2 backwards compatibility you lucky bastard. I hope the PS2 stops selling already so they can add PS2 BC on the next update.

I don't have BC anymore either. My PS3 is broke
Its the one feature I miss most out of all current gen PS3 models.

Sony should go right ahead with proper BC. Its nice to see a HD-native GoW pack but not as nice as having PS2 BC on PS3
