I don't think that's entirely accurate. The point is that it's optional. If I didn't have a PS3, I wouldn't bother with a Blu-ray drive, but for people that don't have a triple this is just another way of getting HD movies. Microsoft peddle a relatively cheap machine with expensive bolt-ons, Sony give you the whole thing in a pricey oner, it's a perfectly valid consumer choice.

Yeah, for me, i want a 360 for the exclusive titles, and online play i know i enjoy. I can play with you guys, and my brother, and friends back home if i get an xbox. But, i want hi def movies. Being student, i have an extremely limited budget when it comes to shit like this, so the option to buy a, what are we thinking £100 Blu-Ray add on for my £200 machine works out at the same cost as a ps3, but i WANT an xbox, because of the things i mentioned above.

Its a straight choice between the two pricewise, and im sure nobody here would begrudge me chosing a 360 with blu ray over a ps3? (Except maybe Seany) In my opinion the Xbox still has an advantage ove ps3 in terms of back catalogue, and titles still available.

Nah. the days of Xbox 360 being so much cheaper than PS3 are long gone. Talking up one of the features that they've constantly tried to down play in the past and release their own expensive version of it seems very counter productive to me.

Although I doubt this is even true. Steve Ballmer is a clown with a big mouth, and Robbie Bach (head of MS entertainment division) said earlier this year that there was no BR player coming to 360 for the reasons I stated.

I'm gonna get a PS3 soon anyway, so fuck the blu ray add on. Although everybody I work with says they have owned about 3 PS3s and traded all of them because its just not as good as the 360.

I'll decide for myself, I guess, although I'll be hard pushed to be entirely converted to the PS3, because I have played it, and I do prefer the 360. In general. But there are a few PS3 exclusive games that are frankly too good to ignore.

I dunno. That battle rifle in the link looks pretty genuine, even though the covenant needler thing looks like a splice of 2 other weapons. I reckon they are genuine. There's too many new attachments for them to be created from scratch.

I remember thinking it was a tech demo at the time, but yeah, it could have been amzing. An actual proper step into showing the world that videogames are a legitimate medium. Dicks.
