Fifa 10

Post by JokerJamie on Mon Oct 05, 2009 3:27 pm

Just picked this up and I'm really excited about it now. Who else has it? Maybe we could get a game going or something?

Also if anyone has any uploaded videos, please do share Smile

I have it. If I see you online I'll send you an invite.
Bare in mind this is the first football game I've had in 10 years (I have a rule that because football games are so similar I should only buy one that often).

goalkeepers need to have the skill taken down a level, refs giving out cards for mouthing of or what not. players jumping over slide tackles, refs giving out cards for the slightest thing. a step back really.

I definitely prefer it to 09. And I prefer the difficult keepers too. Otherwise all you'd need is an easy through ball and you're pretty much guaranteed to score. And the refs make strange calls which I like too. Its much more real for me. But yeh a dive button would be funny, although dives never work in pro ev.

I was going to say that it's much more realistic. Always hated how on most football games you could just run through the whole team if you had a decent enough player.

Have you been upgrading your virtual pro? Some of the accomplishments are really tough!

vidic, red card in the other half for a slide tackle that didnt even make the other player stumble, sure it didnt get the ball, but it was from the front, it was a yellow card at worst, and the ref could have really played advantage.
not to mention iv had several yellows for players "mouthing off". what the hell? you know there is such a thing as too realistic.

I've been trying to but you're right it's really hard. I'm quite enjoying playing as part of a team with a few mates from college though, it's a good laugh especially when you score and everybody sprints round the pitch celebrating like nutters.

I'd be up for it.

Also what do you guys think about setting up a small Interhood League? Nothing particularly spectacular just a few games against each other now and again.

Oh yeah, same, forgot. Still, this game is pretty quality, I take back what I said about the demo. Starting to feel the 360 degree control more now, and everything seems to have been ironed out.

i just cant stand the refs terrible decisions and the goalkeepers new ability to deny the existance of gravity and dive from 1 end of the 18 yard box to the other.
