bomby wrote:well, some of them got off the island, only for the island to change position and go back in time, they then retured to save the other survivors after learning of what had happened. so most of the ones who left took a plane to get back to the island, which then crashed on the island again, bringing a new set of survivors and a dead man back to life. the ones who left the island went back in time and found some other original crash survivors, who are now working for an orginsation who owned the island in the sixties, after an incedent where the future leader of the island locals was shot and nearly killed, they where hunted, some stuff happened bla bla bla, they had to get back to their own time, an H bomb was detonated under the island which apparantly would let them travel through time (?). and thats where series 6 ends.........yeah its completely insane and half the time i cant understand any of it.
Read that back to yourself then punch thumbtacks into your face for watching that crap. Took me 2 seasons before I stopped and went "nothing is actually fucking happening!" and never watched an episode since.
Re: Favourite TV series
Anyway, my favourite tv shows are:
Seinfeld (own all 180 odd episodes)
The Likely Lads (Own all surviving episodes)
Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads (Own all released seasons)
The Sweeney (Own season 1 and 2)
Citizen Smith (Own season 1 and 2)
Minder (Own season 1 and 2)
The Wire (Own all seasons)
Mad Men (Own season 1, watched season 2 as it aired)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (Seen every released episode)
In Treatment (watching online as I can't get a region 2 box set)
Rescue Me (Own seasons 1-4, watching season 5 online the day after it airs in US)
The Sopranos (Own all seasons)
Peep Show (Seen every episode)
King of The Hill
Wondershowzen
Drawn Together
Frasier
Laurel and Hardy (own complete collection)
Probably loads more that don't come to mind immediately
Edit:
Only got into Likely Lads recently. The second show (Whatever Happenned To The Likely Lads) is far superior though. It's a chronicling of the change of an era. In the last ever episode of The Likely Lads Bob joins the army and Terry joins so he can still hang around with Bob but Bob gets discharged with flat feet so Terry goes off to the army for 5 years. The next show takes place after he comes back and sees the massive cultural shift, and the destruction of the life he was once accustomed to. Newcastle is being torn down so it can be built back up all around him and he's left an outcast in this bizarre new liberated culture. The show often touches issues such as class, political idealisms and heartfelt nostalgia which really does give it an extra layer of depth on top of the comedy. But then again it might not be everyone's cup of tea

Has anyone else watched Babylon 5? I've recently started season 2, and it's amusing how much Mass Effect has stolen from it. Good sci-fi, even though the deja vu is hitting me hard!
