The arrangement of this album is great too. Unnatural Selection is perfectly placed after Eurasia and Guiding Light. Just kicks things back into fifth gear again.

I stand by my 5/5.

Doesn't it come across as somewhat short though? Even the appended piano tracks and that aria seemed more like minute interludes if anything.
By the time the album had started it was already pretty much done with before Exogenesis kicked in.

Oh well. At least the tracks aren't completely annoying like Supermassive Black Hole. That got overplayed so much I want to claw my face off when I hear it.

I've moved onto the Watchmen soundtrack, simply because I wanted the Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Simon & Garfunkel tracks.

me somewhere else wrote:Pitchfork gave this a good review! Wahey!

I'll more readily accept a Pitchfork 6 that slightly misundertands the album but is overall pretty praiseworthy than a moany NME 6.

The reviews themselves were different. Pitchfork's was actually pretty fair, and though I obviously disagreed with most of the reviewer's negatives, it was a well written piece. NME's was just... balls. I don't know how else to describe it. It was like someone who loved Eurasia just wanting a whole album of that and crying about the increasing moves towards the rhythm section.

I'm in love with the World of Goo soundtrack. I keep listening to "Are you coming home, love MOM" over and over again.

It's all free and everything too.

I was kinda surprised at the PF score for The Resistance after reading the text, they didn't have much bad to say at all. I think it may be a PF rule that Muse can't receive a high score lol

I downloaded it so i can listen myself anyway. Also got Beck's take on The Velvet Underground & Nico. Covering one of the most perfect albums ever made? Bold move Beck...

The funny thing is, that's how I'd assign a 6 lol

I listened to it, not doing much for me at all. Uprising and Unnatural Selection are the only tracks that stood out...

I've sort of gone Biffy mad again, as always when they are set to release a new album. Not only have I pre-ordered the Only Revolutions boxset for 40...

BiffyClyro.com wrote:Only available on BiffyClyro.com this bumper packed strictly Limited Edition Collector's Box Set will be numbered, lovingly hand-packed and contain the following:

- Deluxe Foldout Digipack CD
- Heavyweight 12" vinyl
- DVD featuring an exclusive documentary on the making of Only Revolutions
- Exclusive 'Play Along' CD with instrumental parts removed so you can jam with Biffy on guitar, bass or drums!
- Guitar tab poster
- 2 x exclusive pin badges
- A full orchestral score
- Exclusive Biffy sticker sheet
- 12" art print signed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson

This boxset is strictly limited to just 2000, anywhere in the universe!

...but I also ordered a signed copy of the album from RecordStore. Most I've ever spent on a single album release, mon the Biff!
