Scott Pilgrim VS The World.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtKAfoIllbo
My favourite film director. My favourite books. Video games, fighting, beautiful girls, anime, flaming swords, Michael Cera, Anna Kendrick, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, a hammerthrow into a clock tower, pixelled screens, the coin noise from Mario Bros, the poses and V.O man from Street Fighter 2.
Personal film of the year. I cant wait.

That last evil ex in the trailer is agent Shaw from Chuck. Cool beans.
This will be good at worst, great at best me thinks.

I actually think it looks pretty good. Seems to stay true to the style of the comics and looks fun enough

Don't know; I'll happily wait. That's assuming it arrives tomorrow; Play.com haven't been too good with their delivery recently so I'm getting worried
Re: Scott Pilgrim VS The World.
IT'S FUCKING AWESOME!
Easily the best out of all 6; I love it so, so much. I'm gonna go and read it again and again now

Re: Scott Pilgrim VS The World.
It is fucking brilliant. The ending is like, perfect? Only thing was that it felt like a final chapter rather than a final book, but like, if you read the whole 6 issue series as 1, then it really doesnt matter. Everything about this series of books was perfect. My favourites.

Re: Scott Pilgrim VS The World.
I think I'm with you here, Dangly. I don't read many books but they are my favourites; definintely the best comics I've ever read
Actually, it was you and your brother who convinced me to get them Thanks, man - I really would be missing out if it wasn't for you

No sweat man, Scott Pilgrim really is one of the indie comics that would maybe really rely on great word of mouth. Just gad i could tell someone, and i hope you're yelling at all your friends to read it too
But yeah, cant wait for the film now, even the ultra fucking pretentious dickwads at Deadline Hollywood kinda liked it, so this is a good sign, and the ultraculture showing sold out in record time. I really cant wait to see it.
And the game! I constantly forget the game! It looks really great, and il pay absolutely anything (within a reasonable figure) for it.

Re: Scott Pilgrim VS The World.
Aha, but i consider it literature.
And yeah, ended realy well, in my head, exactly as i wanted it to, i guess im just a bit sad its all finished.
ALSO. Im not sure i can compare this to Watchmen, or From Hell, or even V for Vendetta. I wouldnt say its necessarily etter, just so completely different to those texts. I cant compare it to anything! Anyone agree?

There's loads of similar stuff if you look at Oni Press, Image and SLG... Comics aren't just about super heroes and seriousness you know
