The beta begins today, should be up at around 5-7 PM, I think. The beta ends on the 19th of May. Silver members get a chance to play it between the 14th and 17th.

Yeah, I'm gonna give it a chance, even if it looks 95% identical to Halo 3. Funny when Halo 3 will have been out about 3 years when Reach is released.

Beta up, and I'm downloading it now...Hope its good.

I was at 33% last time I checked - doubt I'll be playing much tonight.

Edit: at 48% now, it's taken about 2 hours to reach that, so I'm guessing about 10:30 it'll be ready, dayum.

Servers are fucked. I haven't been able to get into a game. Tomorrow hopefully.

I got into a couple of games first time, I'll probably play it some more tomorrow.
At first I thought "oh look it's Halo 4 Modern Warfare" because of the changes but it actually seems pretty damn good.

same, managed to play abou t5 games worth, big improvment over halo 3, and the armour abilities, apart from sprint, are all really good. assassinations all the way.

I actually REALLY like it... played like 3/4 matches and thought it was quite fun! Love the ability to fly, even if the armor upgrades are abit steep... Whatcha recon Recon armour will cost xD?

not sure, wouldnt be suprised if its an exclusive for people who got it in halo 3, if not it will probably be like 5000Cr a peice or something.

Yeah, I had to wait quite a while before I got into some games, but after that I was getting into games no problem. There's a few bugs with it not showing your emblem and customized armour in the lobby, and sometimes it fails to load maps, which gets a bit annoying.

Anyway, straight away I was like: "OMFGAH, the assualt rifle is actually good again like in CE". It didn't feel as much like Halo 3 as I feared. It feels like the guns actually have an impact now. The different classes are orite, the sprint one seems a bit useless compared to the others, though. I hope they put up new maps soon.

But, yeah, I really like it. I'm actually looking forward to see what they're going to do with the single-player, especially now that I like the feel of it. Probably the first time I've really liked a Halo game since CE.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to join you all when I get back on the 15th. My Xbox is off for repairs so I'm not 100% sure though!

By "join you all" you mean just you and I, Major? I hope we do get a group playing.

Anyway, I'm annoyed that there's another bug that took away some points and lowered my class when I came first in the match. xD

I don't think I'll buy this on release, after playing it some more today I didn't feel that it's different enough to Halo 3 and the graphics are still pretty underwhelming. It's only the beta though and it's the multiplayer. We'll see.
