I wish there was a true sequel to the Toca games.

I've also made a start on Stalker, first impressions are great. Even the starting area is dripping with menace and has an impressive presence.

There's no end to that dark atmosphere, no reprieve. It just feels so nasty all the time. I would have liked something that resembles a safe house, but alas I found no such thing during my 5-6 hours of playing it.

I've started me some Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. It's OK, but the script and voice acting are pretty shit, which is a major concern given that's the focus of the game. The cut scenes are so fucking dull.

I finished that last night and enjoyed it. I thought that most of the voice acting was pretty crap but the voices of Baker and Dawson were good. I think the game dragged on a little bit too much but overall it was a good game. I liked how it didn't glorify the war and it tries to show the more brutal side too.

I still don't like the slow motion "HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THAT FUCKING EXPLODING FACE!" cam - not good idea in a game that's meant to be sombre. Mechanically it's pretty enjoyable, if a little stilted, and the tactics are actually useful.

I'll definitely keep playing it

Oh, and maybe it's not so much the voices themselves, but the choreography and terrible lip syncing which make the timing of each line look so badly wrong.

I think I am the only person who really liked that game.

Im playing Saints Row 2, first experience with it, and i think its completely hilarious. Clearly not as good as GTAIV but brilliant in its own way. I giggle every time i shoot somebody and their bodies fly away.

Funny.

Wipeout HD Fury expansion. Best piece of DLC i've ever bought.

I've finished Portal and coming close to the end of The Darkness

Finished Overlord 2. Great fun! Now I'm gonna start Prototype and Killzone 2 which I've borrowed off my cousin. Been playing some Madworld too.

picked up saints row 2 for a tenner, so far so good, need to to play it in co-on sometime

Killzone 2 - 6/10 (lowered after the fact, realised it was only just above average)

MadWorld - 7/10

I still haven't finished MadWorld, but it's great fun and the alternate weapons are fucking sweet. I love the club - you just flick the Wii remote and he does a really casual swing which turns heads into mush.

Oh, nearly finished Hell's Highway. Everything's just sort of competent, but as I said somewhere else "It makes an effort but kind of pisses itself and collapses in a flailing heap every so often."

Worth the tenner I paid I suppose.
