Re: Work discussion
Like Raine touched on, the economic climate at the moment needs experience and skills more than anything, they don't want to teach some new guy everything to begin with.
It'll be another 4 years for me to be into the world of work after going through Uni, and by that time the climate will have reset and the fact you have a degree will become more appealing again. Its the people leaving University this year and next year you have to feel sorry for.

Re: Work discussion
Oh Oh work discussion!
I work for a cheap, crappy clothes company called Madhouse, that sells clothes to Chavs. My dad is middle management (and he hates it...) which is why i got the job, that and they're paying me over £5 an hour, which is possibly why they're slowly going bust....
I dont work regular hours, i travel round the country helping clse stores, and transferring stock to various other stores. Its easy enough work, counting stock, checking it against a list and packing it.

I don't have experience or education in the right areas and I'm now an investment bankers. Get a dad who's chairman of an investment bank losers.
Re: Work discussion
What are you, a glorified assistant? Never thought I'd see you working, is it paying well?

Fucking bankers.
I hated them before it was fashionable to do so.

I'm a research analyst. 15k a year before tax but my brother has gone from starting at the same to 30k a year in just two years and he's a screw-up who can barely stay sober long enough to come in to work and often only comes in on Friday for his paycheck (which annoys me as he's taking advantage of my dads generous nature becasue he can) so imagine what I can achieve in two years.
Re: Work discussion
Tell your bro thanks for putting the economy in the shitter.

Re: Work discussion
My bro's smalltime. There's plenty of types around the office who are more to blame. Truth is, if he wasn't family he'd be scrubbing toilets as his record would prevent him from getting even a semi-decent job.

Sounds like a real character.

Re: Work discussion
Yeah he is actually. I also owe a lot of life experience to him. Before I started hanging out with him when I was 16 I knew little outside the quaintness of South England suburbia.

I have besmirched the honour of the Teahouse. I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I hope I can, in time, earn it back.

Re: Work discussion
I compile grids whith various statistical datas which help make investing decisions, research stastical facts from annual reports on companies and retrieve important documents (posh for 'I fetch letters'). I know and have had multiple dinners with the man who bought Notts County Football Club. Affiliated with the Bahranian royal family. He's talking with Sven about being manager.
That's some big shit.
I got £250 on Tuesday. Gonna get £250 tomorrow! Gonna whack out the spliffs and jump in the poor mans hot tub and (paddling pool plus warm water) in Fulham at a friends garden party.

Gears is a metalhead. Everyone who likes pop/dance music is a chav to him.
I love my work. I earned £30 today just sitting watching Rock II, III and IV.
