Urmmmm.. Empty Urmmmm..

Post by GearsCT Wed Aug 12, 2009 6:48 pm

My Grandma died last night, we just found out like an hour ago.
Only problem is, I never knew her, should I be upset, I'm more upset at the fact that my mum is. We had only ever heard horror stories about her (My cousins and I), and so we were never even told if she was a good woman or not.

She also disappeared completely at one point for 15 years only to pop up in Nottingham with one of my mum's sisters.

Just thought I'd let you guys know, sort of a confusing moment for me, dunno how to feel etc.

I'd say it's only natural to be a little bit distraught when any family member dies. There's a part of her in you, natural selection has taught us that it's prudent to look our for our flock and that's where some sadness may come from.

Hope you're OK buddy. Comforting your mum is probably the best bet for now.

Death has affected my family a bit, and I'm always extremely guilty that I'm not more upset about it.

same thing is happening with me, my granddad over in australia is dying of cancer, even though he left my mom when she was like 1, headed of to australia and only bothered to get in contact early last year, shortly after which he said something that angered us badly resulting in us cutting contact with him, im not sure how to feel about the prospect of him dying, so yeah i sort of know how you feel.
