Crackdown 2 Empty Crackdown 2

Post by gdf Sun Aug 09, 2009 10:49 am

I don't let myself get hyped about games these days, but I'm pretty fucking excited about seeing more of Crackdown 2. The first was a contender for my 2007 GOTY.

Apparently it's still set in Pacific City, but a sufficiently different version or something. Anyway, I can't pissing wait.

Remember our first online interaction throwing mines at traffic on the freeway? I often masturbate to that touching moment.

One of my favourite online memories.

By the way, in the lead-up to this game I'd recommend Prototype as a stopgap. Great fun, though the setting and general premise aren't too endearing and exploration is lost because Alex moves so fast through the city.

Demo's out tomorrow (Today) - complete with 10 achievements (Worth 100 GS) from the actual game. Hopefully it'll be fun Smile

I'll be able to download it while playing Alan Wake too!

I'd have to disagree with you there. I hated Prototype. Amusing for about 2 or 3 hours but then it got really really dull. I am pretty excited for Crackdown 2 though, even though I never properly got into the original.

First seems better after playing the demo. May try playing more later.

I found the first a bit shit, gameplay wise. I respected their take on the whole 'open-world superhero' genre though.

Not impressed by the demo, sadly.
