Halo 3

What do we actully think about this game? It is for me, my guilty pleasure. Stupid and full of morons, but i enjoy it hugely in short spurts, or on split screen with a pal (or brother).

2 years old.

Don't mind warming it up the odd time though.

Whenever I think of Halo 3, I think of me and Sean doing an old Chat Gaming podcast and just literally not knowing what to say.

In a nutshell, it short, boring, and not much to talk about. Halo 3, I mean, not the podcast. Although it was hardly an eventful episode. Multiplayer is alright though every now and then.

I swear the last time I fired up Halo 3 was cos we tried to play it with The Knights

Halo: Combat Evolved had the last great Halo campaign and Halo 2 had the last great Halo multiplayer. Doesn't leave much for Halo 3.

I liked it better the second time I played it. It has some great set pieces, overall not up to the standard set by CE but better than 2. Never cared much for Halo mp.

Still, it earns points just for not being a grey military shooter.

Those points are immediately neutralised by the fact it's another HURR DURR SPACE MARINES adventure

One of my biggest complaints is why does the Assualt Rifle feel like a pelit gun? Go back to CE and you feel like your firing a muther fucking assault rifle!

Honestly, that's one thing FPSs have to get right for me. I want to feel like I'm firing a gun. It's the same with Call of Duty - the pistols feel like shit to fire. It should be like BF1943, those hanguns feel great to fire.

Plus I just remembered the Flood and Cortana level, so I take back any positive comments I may have made. The game is shit.

Id would rather drink warm dog vomit than play that again.

Flood level in CE was one of the highlights of the game, and that was a fucking good shotgun too. Meaty. Satisfying.

its not a terrible game, it just got old really quick, bring on ODST for what halo 3 should have been.

ODST bugs me even more because not only will it be a short as hell, 5-hour adventure, but also because it sounded much less idiotic when it was called Recon.

It'l be longer than 5 hours, and the flashback narrative does intrigue me.

and its free roam, so it might last longer, and well yeah recon would have been a much better name.

If it's longer than 5 hours then that'll be pretty amazing, seeing as the game it's essentially a spin-off of was only that long.

As for the free-roam, I guess, but from what they've said there isn't much to do in the area other than discover the flashback points.
