As I got in from work today, I sat down and flicked through Sky Movies and ended up watching Drillbit Taylor. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would - the child actors were actually quite funny and I normally find Owen Wilson chuckle-worthy. I'm also still amazed at how slim Josh Peck is.

Anyway, it's pretty predictable stuff but it provided me with some enjoyment.

Anyone been watching this on E4 (I think)? I watched it on 4oD last night and I really liked it. There is a good cast of characters there (Even though most of them are arseholes) and the actors suit the role. It's also quite funny at parts but there is drama thrown in the mix too. Apparently it's like Skins but I haven't watched it so I wouldn't know.

Anybody else ever been impressed with the production values of their own wandering minds during sleep? Last night I had a dream in which a struggling single parent (played, I think, by Sandra Bullock) meets a fantastically charming young man (Tom Cruise, but also at times an actor who closely resembles Joaquin Phoenix, post-mentalism) at the supermarket, and takes him back to her home thanks to a long-held crippling loneliness and need for attention.

Upon opening the door to her apartment, ...

Thought it'd be nice to make a dedicated thread to gigs you've been to, or are attending in the near future.

Last band I saw live was Nine Inch Nails on the NIN/JA tour. I've reviewed it over on X360 (which I haven't been back to for weeks, by the way, wow) and the overall experience was fantastic. Mew were great, Jane's Addiction were brilliant, and NIN were just godly.

Got Green Day coming up next, which should make for a decent arena experience. Then its Biffy Clyro again in November. ...

So what do you think the best films of 2009 are (so far)? There are a couple of decent films out, and I know there are more to come (looking at you, Avatar, Shutter Island, Lovely Bones...), but right now, I think my list would look something like this:

1. The Hurt Locker

2. Up

3. District 9

4. Drag Me To Hell

5. Zombieland

Thats it so far imo. These are just the ones I've seen and can think of. I'm excited for some more ones to come out, Nine, Paranormal Activity etc. What ...

Mine is definitely Firefly. Charming, funny, exciting and infinetly re-watchable. All the characters are likable, there's not a single bad episode and the mix of all out comedy, horror and emotionally moving stuff is beautiful. Standalone episodes mean you don't have to watch everything again to enjoy your favourite moments in context. The finale, despite being non-existent, is handled rather well in the feature film Serenity. The series had so much potential, but alas, ...

With illegal downloading far exceeding legal methods in the present, and the old-school record labels failing to acknowledge this, it seems clear that something big needs to come along in terms of a whole new system. But first, let me clearly explain where I stand on the issue personally.

I would love to believe that when I purchase an album from iTunes for £7.99, the majority of ...
