A thread for the discussion of news and polotics among other things. Might be good to get some discussion just about the days news.

Here's the story that gripped me most today:

As I got in from work today, I sat down and flicked through Sky Movies and ended up watching Drillbit Taylor. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would - the child actors were actually quite funny and I normally find Owen Wilson chuckle-worthy. I'm also still amazed at how slim Josh Peck is.

Anyway, it's pretty predictable stuff but it provided me with some enjoyment.

Anyone been watching this on E4 (I think)? I watched it on 4oD last night and I really liked it. There is a good cast of characters there (Even though most of them are arseholes) and the actors suit the role. It's also quite funny at parts but there is drama thrown in the mix too. Apparently it's like Skins but I haven't watched it so I wouldn't know.

Not really been playing much recently but I did just finish Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood last week. I've been going through it again to sweep up the remaining achievements. Although, considering I gave it a 6/10 - this is only when I can be bothered.

Major, I've noticed you haven't touched it since Battlefield 1943 came out. I wanted to know what you thought of it.

So, yeah, what have you guys been playing, if anything?

Decided to post this discussion in the Teahouse, to keep to sensible debate at the expense of trolling and shouting matches. Hope Kaptain Kaviar doesn't mind.

I know some of you will be aware I'm an atheist. Recently, though, I've switched from the kind of atheist who, though not "militant" in the proper sense of the word, was quick to dismiss any good religion does in favour of highlighting (and exaggerating) the bad, to one who is of the opinion that, in it's purest sense, religion ...

Anybody else ever been impressed with the production values of their own wandering minds during sleep? Last night I had a dream in which a struggling single parent (played, I think, by Sandra Bullock) meets a fantastically charming young man (Tom Cruise, but also at times an actor who closely resembles Joaquin Phoenix, post-mentalism) at the supermarket, and takes him back to her home thanks to a long-held crippling loneliness and need for attention.

Upon opening the door to her apartment, ...

Last band I saw live was Nine Inch Nails on the NIN/JA tour. I've reviewed it over on X360 (which I haven't been back to for weeks, by the way, wow) and the overall experience was fantastic. Mew were great, Jane's Addiction were brilliant, and NIN were just godly.

Got Green Day coming up next, which should make for a decent arena experience. Then its Biffy Clyro again in November. ...
