Gigs
Thought it'd be nice to make a dedicated thread to gigs you've been to, or are attending in the near future.
Last band I saw live was Nine Inch Nails on the NIN/JA tour. I've reviewed it over on X360 (which I haven't been back to for weeks, by the way, wow) and the overall experience was fantastic. Mew were great, Jane's Addiction were brilliant, and NIN were just godly.
Got Green Day coming up next, which should make for a decent arena experience. Then its Biffy Clyro again in November. Seeing them for the fifth time in three years
Aside from those, I haven't booked any, but I wouldn't mind getting tickets for Does It Offend You, Yeah? and HEALTH, and am waiting for CSS and/or Crystal Castles to tour again.

Re: Gigs
Seeing Skindred, DevilDriver and Gallows at the Roadmender in Northampton which should be sick...
Then I have Hollywood Undead which I'm seeing in Birmingham O2 Academy, I think you should come Moozo, meet up. They're playing 30th November

Been to a few and I wish I could revert to your position. No. Appeal. Whatsoever.

Maaan, that's crazy. Good gigs are just totally the best experiences ever. I'm actually sorry that you didn't enjoy them because nothing beats a good gig! Each to their own I suppose.

Re: Gigs
So far, gigs I've been to have been characterised by a good deal of akwardness at the start because I don't really know what the accepted behaviour is, but by the end I'm very, very comfortable. Too comfortable, some might say.

Re: Gigs
Me too, have them for Green Day. I'll be stood up on my seat anyway for sure. NIN's last EVER European setlist from Sonisphere:
The Way Out is Through
Wish
I Do Not Want This
Something I Can Never Have
Gone, Still
The Frail
The Wretched
Non Entity
Lights in the Sky
The Downward Spiral
Hurt
Trent Reznor on the setlist: "We played a purposely quiet, intimate set. I figured it would either enrage or baffle the metal audience... but to our amazement it went over great!
Really fun set to play in that environment."
A load of baffled metal fans = priceless. Why they were in a metal-fest in the first place is yet another collective musical misunderstanding/misinterpretation.

Re: Gigs
Hopefully seeing Biffy in October (or November) can't remember.
Vampire Weekend, Crystal Castles and Dizzee Rascal on the 28th of August.
Top 5 bands at Oxegen were Blur, Friendly Fires, Bloc Party, Florence and the Machine and surprizing Elbow.
